The seminar participants
Over two hundered participants and spectators from across Europe descended on the John Wright Sports Centre, East Kilbride for Grandmaster Hee Il Cho's last ever Scottish seminar.
Grandmaster addresses the studentsThe event began with the introduction of the AIMAA Masters present at the event, Master Kirkwood, Master Byrne, Master Fitzgerald and AIMAA European Director Master D'arcy. Each Master received a fantastic round of applause from the students and spectators in attendance.
The loudest applause, however, was reserved for our Founder and President, Grandmaster Hee Il Cho, who entered the hall to rapturous cheers from everyone.

Students stretch outGrandmaster Cho began the seminar by taking the students through an excellent and very thorough stretching routine. Once again Grandmaster Cho showed tremendous personal flexibility and strength to demonstrate each exercise. The importance of posture during stretching was also highlighted by Grandmaster who spoke throughout the exercises to guide everyone into the correct positions at all times.

After everyone was truly warmed up Grandmaster Cho began the main body of his seminar which was filled with an array of Tae Kwon Do basics, puches, kicks, one steps and drills. Grandmaster Cho also lead the students through some very tough squating and jumping exercises!

Within the second hour of the seminar, Grandmaster Cho began to up the pace and lead everyone through an array of fighting techniques as well as footwork drills and avoidence techniques. Our AIMAA curriculum has some amazing footwork drills and it was great for everyone to witness these performed by Grandmaster Cho with such speed and effectiveness.
At the conclusion of the seminar Grandmaster Cho took the opportunity during his closing speach to pass on some of his amazing knowledge to those in attendance. He spoke of the importance of making the correct choices in life, working hard, showing respect to others and how Tae Kwon Do can help create a balance within life.
Grandmaster also spoke about the importance of inclusion and working together, staying flexible in both mind and body and how we should move forward together as martial artist.
Our Grandmaster has always bridged all martial arts devides. Bringing everyone together under one banner of martial arts; no matter whether you are a Grandmaster, a master or a white belt. He is and always will be THE inspiration.
The best there is, the best there was and the best there ever will be.
