Belgacem's School of Cho's Tae Kwon Do - AIMAA Scotland
AIMAA International Testing 2009, Dublin Ireland
Belgacem's School of Cho's Tae Kwon Do had five participating students at the recent AIMAA International Testing which was held in Dublin, Ireland during Grandmaster Cho's European Tour.
Mr Walker, Mr Shaw, Michelle Currie, Bobby Barr and Josh Kirkland were amongst a strong group of AIMAA Scotland students and Instructors who tested under the watchful eye of Grandmaster Cho, Master D'arcy, Master Byrne, Master Kirkwood and Mr Fitzgerald.
There were over sixty students testing on the day and everyone gave 100% in pursuit of their next belt.
Mr Walker and Mr Shaw were both testing for the rank of 3rd Degree and both defied their 'maturing age' to demonstrate every technique, pattern and 1 step with excellent power and accuracy.
Both students are cornerstones of our school and both gentleman personify the true nature of everything our school is about; respect, loyalty and commitment. We are very luck to have this sort of student as part of our team.
Testing for 2nd Degree was Bobby Barr. Bobby has been a student of Mr and Mrs Belgacem since he was a young child and is steadily growing into a mature black belt student with great potential for the future.
A very respectful student, we are sure that if successful Bobby will accept the added responsibility of being a 2nd Degree and further establish himself within the school.
Michelle Currie and Josh Kirkland were both experiencing the excitement of a black belt testing for the first time.
Our two black belt hopefuls gave everything they had and pushed themselves to the limit. We look forward to hopefully adding two new members to our black belt ranks.
Also testing from Scotland were Instructor, Mr James Lawson and his student Lee Byrne and from Master Kirkwood's School we had David Graham, Michael Maxwell, Mark Russell and Laura Mulaghton.
All students now await their results from Grandmaster Cho over the next few weeks.
